Let them play
Play is very important kids learn by playing learning is a game.
They will want to share your chores and hobbies. This is fun for a kid.
Keep them safe
Do not cut corners and keep your child safe.
Take your time and get your child properly seated in a car seat when you are on the road.
Support their dreams
Support their dreams but don't make them live yours.
Your child is an independent person with personal likes and dislkies thet may be different from yours.

Not that you will always agree with what he or she considers cool clothes. However, this is a step towards finding their place in the world and develope their personality.
